My Bio
I started making things to sell when I was only 5 and as I grew my creativity grew and with my passion for upcycling, recycling and creating flowers I grew my drive into my passion and in 2010 the fabric orchid line was finally realized. Making orchids that will never die. The orchids are all one of a kind and hand stitched, painted and sculpted. Keeping to the upcycling I found my favorite fabric from crafters who can't use the size pieces I can. I use old coat hangers and other wire and the moss, I gather in the forest when I take the nature photos I post here. Even the pots are re-purposed. The orchids take on a life of their own and look more like real orchids then I have ever seen any other man-made variety. Some even smell. Like the chocolate orchids and they have even been know to make the owners hungry for chocolate!
I continue my quest for acknowledgment of my creativity. Maybe one day it will be my "making"

Repurposed Ultrasuede from crafters who can't use the sizes I can, Thread, Old Wire, Paint,Repurpose pots,Clay, Mesh, Moss, Willow
It is almost 2 years to the day that I made my first Orchid plant. From the same fabric I had been using for years in my other flower line. Ultrasuede.  I have loved the Ghost Orchid for years but in its rarity, the chances of having one of my own was a dream, till I created my own. I made the first of a line of Orchids in December of 2010. A line that has continued  to grow over 3 years. This past year (2012) I worked extra hard to make as many orchids as I could. Even stopped  road cycle event riding and training to focus on getting enough for a show of some sort in 2013. I made mini orchids this year and have made a total of 18 plants. 7

Your handmade orchids are neat. We still have 1 day left for the Orchid folder. You should submit one to the folder. :aww:
